Philippe and Esther Calabria appointed to lead Laon Protestant Evangelical Church.

After 4 years of pastoral training in Amiens, Philippe and Esther joined us in August 2006 succeeding Denis and Nathalie Biava who departed for Saint-Quentin.

They have two boys, Théo, born in June 2004, and Baptiste, born in October 2005.

Philippe is a former rock musician with a band (the Sentinels) who played in concert halls both across France and abroad from 1983 to 1991. Passing his Baccalaureate at the age of 26, Philippe then received, in 1996, his master’s degree in Linguistics at the Jules Verne university in Amiens. In October 2005, he obtained his second master’s degree in Linguistics at the same university. He completed his thesis on the theoretical part of pastoral training at the same time.
