Action
to help Cambodian orphans
Date:
Friday 10th November 2006
Place : Salle des Coopérateurs,
12 rue Eugène Leduc, Laon
Event : Traditional dancing performed
by Cambodian children
Our objective
We wanted to maximise the fund-raising
with this venue for the child dancers
from Cambodia. All money raised went
to support an orphanage in Phnom Penh.
Objective
achieved: We obtained almost 1600
euros in donations. The people of
Laon even beat the donations record
received by the Cambodian troop on
their tour.
The
room was completely packed out, tens
of people were even turned away at
the door even though they arrived
on time.
The
Wall of Indifference (for the Telethon)
Date:
Saturday 9th December 2006
Place : The Town Square in Laon
Time: From 2pm until 6pm.
Our
objectif
Our objective: A wall of 5.8m in length
and 2m in height on which was written
INDIFFERENCE was taken down brick
by brick by means every time that
money was placed in an urn in front
of the wall. Everything was completely
for the profit of the Telethon. As
the wall was being knocked down, a
banner was revealed behind it with
a message bringing the solution to
the problem of indifference today.
“It’s love for one’s
neighbour which will make the wall
of indifference collapse!”
